About Us
Our goal as therapists is to change the world’s view of massage. We truly believe massage is “essential”
Every massage therapist has a different touch. Our team works well together to meet all your massage needs. From sports massage, raindrop technique, lymphatic, neuromuscular, deep tissue, Swedish, and so much more!
While we love to bring our clients the relaxation of massage, we strive to bring the relief of chronic issues and truly seek to provide massage as a holistic approach of therapy. We believe that massage is meant to bring healing through movement. Our goal is to teach you techniques to help you recover and live the best quality of life possible.
Whether it be to come in to relax, work a specific issue, or to keep up routine maintenance, we’ve got you covered!
Meet the Team

“I received my first massage in 1986 and was forever changed. I recognized the need for massage therapy and was amazed at the results I felt after just one session. That day a seed was planted in my mind, spirit, and body that I could one day become a massage therapist.
Many years later I pursued that dream and graduated from the Birmingham School of Massage In 2013.
I am continually learning the many different benefits of massage and strive to administer my skills and knowledge to best suit my clients.
I’m a strong believer in God’s natural healing and there is nothing that compares to the human touch. I have been blessed to witness daily testimonies of healing through massage and believe it is needed by every human being.”

“Hey, I’m Kelsey!
After being in the fitness industry for close to five years I decided to branch out with my career and really focus on my skills.
I attended Birmingham School of Massage and graduated in February of 2016. Since graduating, I have worked to integrate my passions in health with fitness and massage.
My goal is to teach people that overall well-being is one of the most important aspects of life and how massage is a part of that.
While I enjoy all modalities of massage, my specialties include deep tissue, sports massage, cupping therapy, and stretching!“

“In 2013 I graduated from Birmingham School of Massage. Since then I have performed massage in salons, chiropractic clinics, and even hospice settings. But nothing has been as great as working at The Essential Massage! It has truly given me a chance to be who I want to be as a massage therapist. I love neuromuscular therapy and educating people on how to keep themselves out of pain. I believe that the majority of our society has been misinformed about massage and what it’s capable of. My mission is to change that.”

“I graduated in 2013 from Birmingham School Massage with a concentration in Swedish, deep tissue and neuromuscular and trigger point therapy. And have continued to learn new and exciting modalities such as Reflexology, energetic manipulation or Pranic healing, and polarity.
I believe that massage therapy is a sacred healing art that assists our overall mind, body, and spiritual health. As a certified raindrop technician through the Center of aromatherapy research and education, I have taken this approach very seriously to help explore the healing properties of Essential oils to maximize my clients’ knowledge and experience, promoting a deeper understanding of our need to reconnect to power natures healing properties and the importance of meditation using breathing techniques.
We all want to welcome to The Essential Massage mighty blessings of relaxation, pain relief, rehabilitation, and overall enrichment!”
